How to Donate, without really Donating

We understand that times are tough; the economy still hasn’t fully recovered, the middle class is struggling—not to mention the working poor, and school districts across the nation are reporting a 20 percent increase in the number of children experiencing homelessness.  There are still ways that you can help that won’t break the bank; in fact, you won’t even be touching the bank!

Shop at Kroger:  All you have to do is register your Kroger Plus card www.krogercommunityrewards.com and enter non-profit code # 80507 and FwP benefits from your purchases (don’t worry you still get your fuel points!)

Shop Online: Use GoodShop.com and iGive.com shopping portals that donate a percentage of almost every purchase from nearly 3,500 stores and provide more than 100,000 coupons.  Faces without Places is registered with both sites.

Search the Internet: GoodSearch.com is a Yahoo!-powered search engine that donates about a penny per search to your cause. You use it exactly as you would any other search engine, but each time someone does a search, a donation is made!

Donate airline, hotel miles, or credit card points : cash them in for gift cards to grocery stores, places like Wal-Mart and Target, or office supply stores so we can serve our families or meet our office needs or for something more luxurious for the Yellow Bus Ball.

Dine Out: Register your credit card numbers on GoodDining.com and 6 percent of the money spent on the meal at 10,000 restaurants across the nation will be donated to Faces without Places.
Volunteer: There are a handful of companies that match volunteer hours with funds. For example, Microsoft will match volunteer time at $17 an hour through its Volunteer Time Matching program. Boeing, Exxon, Intel, Chevron, and Bank of America have similar programs.

Cash in your Change: every day you come home and empty your pockets of change, or some days you sit on the couch and your pockets are emptied for you. What if you kept that change in a jar and cashed it in every couple of months and sent it in to FwP?

Together we can keep children experiencing homelessness connected to their education!

Shopping at Kroger can help FwP!

Kroger has set up a new rewards program for non-profits like Faces without Places. Instead of using the re-loadable gift cards, you simply use your Kroger Plus card every time you shop, how easy!
Before Faces without Places can earn rewards when you shop, you must go online and enroll your Kroger Plus card (or alternative ID) at
www.krogercommunityrewards.com and enter 80507 for the nonprofit code.

Happy Krogering!
