Supporter Spotlight: Delta

Delta Volunteers, Campers and Staff in front of an airplane headed for take off!

This month, we are very excited to spotlight Delta Airlines, one of our most committed and generous supporters this year.  Delta has made a huge contribution to several of our programs, including the Birthday Club program and The Yellow Bus Summer Camp, and we truly appreciate their support and enthusiasm for our mission.

Most notably, Delta recently put together one of our favorite days in camp history, an incredible "Airport Day" for our campers.   The campers, most of whom had never been to the airport, enjoyed a K-9 demo, a bus tour, face painting, lunch, geography lessons, an air tower tour, a visit with Victor E Viking (the NKU mascot), and more.  The kids received "passports," which were stamped as they completed each activity.  Best of all, the kids had the opportunity to board a plane and sit in the cockpit with a real life pilot and flight crew!

In addition, we partnered with Delta on our first-ever Birthday Club in February, and they set a quite a high bar for future birthday parties! They provided lunch, cupcakes, gifts, and fun games to several children at the IHN shelter, giving the kids a party they will always remember.  Just a few months later, they held a workplace flip-flop and towel drive to help provide our campers with the items they need to enjoy swimming during the hot summer months.

We can't thank Delta enough for their tremendous support, and we look forward to continuing to work with them on new ways to enhance the lives of the kids we serve.
