We're so excited! The benefit is this week and artist Michelle Stock came in today to create our Honor Roll. . .this is the new and improved version of 'The Wall of Fame.' Shelley was the mastermind behind this idea: recognizing people in the community who creatively raise funds or resources to benefit children experiencing homelessness.
Once Shelley and our staff saw this beautiful old chalkboard though, we fell in love with the idea of the Honor Roll, it fits so perfectly with our mission surrounding education for homeless children.
Michelle came today to chalk it up and she did a fabulous jo
b! The front features 15 stories of people who have helped FWP over the last year; the back is a beautiful rendition of Emily, a child from our summer camp a few years ago. The picture Michelle captured really conveys the joy and the innocence of the youngster we remember.
The board will be displayed for the first time at our benefit, this Friday (October 9th). Join us for a Cajun Chomp & Stomp and check out Michelle's work and the creative people who support us!
